We're in the closing talk of the Cocoon GetTogether in Amsterdam, again a masterful organization of conculleague Arjé from Hippo. The Cocoon GT as it is now affectionally known after its fifth edition, which I organized myself the first three times, is the yearly gathering of Cocoon developers and users, and it's always very nice to actually meet the familiar names from the various Cocoon mailing lists 'in the flesh'.

Today was one of these days where things went even better than I hoped for. We put our new Daisy booth setup to test, and things went really well, even with one of the flash lights dying on me after 30 minutes of use. Flash lights? Well yeah, we take portrait pictures in our booth, which are automagically loaded into Daisy, and then using a small integration we did with Google Maps, we are able to generate a website like the picture underneath.

So that was fun already, but when talking with someone about this setup for another conference, I got invited to be the official event photographer for that event. That, and then some more. Which - given my photography obsession - is nice. Adding onto that, I was finally able to talk with someone who does a lot of work in an area I have quite some experience in, and where we as a company could set up a really nice collaboration with. Which - given our low-profile behavior when it comes to marketing - is nice as well. That, and spareribs, and Dutch beer. There's worse ways to spend three days abroad. :-)
