Who we are
Bruno DumonSoftware ArchitectBruno joined Outerthought many years ago as its first employee, and is - amidst other projects - the lead developer behind Daisy. His attraction to the open source world comes from a can-do mentality, in which, rather than to sit back and wait for the next release, one can start building the next version oneself. |

Karel VervaekeSoftware EngineerKarel learned to read by typing over programs from a book into his Commodore 128. After getting a proper IT education he was mentored by Marc during his masters thesis work. Three years later he joined Outerthought. |

Marc PortierCTO/COO and Managing PartnerMarc got introduced to (and hooked on) on-line services and digital media at the research department of Alcatel, a large telco equipment producer. Soon thereafter, the Internet proved to be the environment to create such services. In 2001 Marc co-founded Outherthought. |
Paul FockeSoftware EngineerAs a child Paul got introduced to IT taking a GW Basic course in primary school. Having been bitten by the programming bug he stayed in the field and eventually got into web development. Outerthought hired this young fellow in 2005. He now spends his days sniffing the Java, messing with AJAX & XML and sparring with JSON in the Dojo. |

Steven NoelsCEO and Managing PartnerSteven has fond memories of the publishing industry, however transitioned quickly from SGML to XML when finding out that the internet world had so much more practical use for his beloved angle brackets. He co-founded Outerthought in 2001 together with friend and business partner Marc Portier. |
